2002 Ford LTD changing FUEL pumb

dear sir
we have ford shop here and we have this problem
after changing the fuel pumb for ( ford transit ) we have to send it to another city to reset the computer ,
how can we avoid this problem
and what is the best diagnosis tools we can use to solve this problem
is Ford IDS VCM is good to solve this
or we have to find other solution

The IDS can do everything that vehicle needs it to do. It is a full diagnostic computer designed to fully Identify problems, update computers, and read full data streams from the PCM. The VCM is less complete in it's capabilities, but can even reprogram computers. If you have access to an IDS, that's all you need.
