I have a noise coming from my left front wheel. I took it to my usual mechanic and they told me that the noise is from the ring and pinion. They also said that the ring and pinion and the transmission are connected on my car. Which is a 2005 Ford Focus, it has only 36,000 miles on it. I was told that the repair will cost alot of money. Are they taking me for a ride or are these parts connected?
