My Low Beams Are Not Working?

check owners manual it will talk about the relays. there will be a couple of relays under the hood. There are two for the headlights. one fir high beam and one for low beam. check to see if you are getting power to the low beam relay. The relay could be bad

My girlfriend's 2007 Ford Focus SE has no headlights. It has Reverse, Running, Flashers, Turn Signals, etc. Just neither headlight. One night they randomly stopped working all together. I've tried new bulbs - this isn't the problem. Additionally, we've tested all the fuses.

My brother rigged up the headlights to the battery directly, to simply test them, and they do work that way. I have removed his little 'rigged up' wiring job since then.

About 1-2 Months later, the car began having power issues. On the way to work, the battery light came on. On the way home, every light on the car quit working and killed upon coming to a stop. My father and I had the alternator and battery tested by both AutoZone and Oreilly's, both of which were tested good.

So now I'm stuck with a focus that not only has no headlights, but also drains the battery of life on daily basis. I've tested fuses, headlight bulbs, alternator, battery yet I can't find the problem. I'm not sure if both issues are related or unrelated. I'd be grateful for some help.

Sounds like a faulty low beam relay. Your low beam relay is located in the battery junction box (see figure below).

In response to your battery problems on the passenger side under hood the bigger wire that goes to your battery from alternator follow it up there os a black plastic cap covering and inline fuse that protects incase of overcharging amps 130 amp - 150 amp fuse is blown. Cap looks just like cover to keep wires together not marked well. Bolts in on both sides of fuse.
