where did Ford hide the air filter i couldn`t find it . it wasn`t where i thought it was supposed to be. any help is greatly appreciated

Just follow the black plastic tube that exits the top of your engine. Wherever it stops at, that's where your filter will be. (On the inside)
There'll be a couple of bolts or spring clips holding down the cover.
