Heater problem
1998 Ford Fiesta Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have a Ford Fiesta S - Reg 1.25 Ghia. Recently I tried using the heater inside the car but it didn't get very warm. It was like it took the chill off but it was still blowing cold air.

When looking through previous questions I saw that this could be due to a low coolant level. So I went and checked and yes the coolant is below the min line. Quite significantly. Which makes me now fear a possible leak.

One thing I was wondering is can the coolant leak into the cabin. A couple weeks back now I was giving the interior a good clean and hoover and when hoovering the front passenger footwell I noticed that under the mat there was a damp patch. It didn't smell and I touched it and didn't have any skin irritation as I thought it could be water but am now wondering could that have been leaked coolant? I checked all around the glovebox area feeling for any place that could be dripping down but found nothing.

Thanks for any help ^_^

sounds like you have a leaking heater core (radiator) inside the heater blower unit !!
