I have a 1994 Ford Festiva which has done approximately 120,000 km.
It is making a strange high pitched squeeling noise when i start it and it generally continues on while i am driving. It is VERY LOUD and it gets worse as i increase my speed before i change gear everytime. When i drive for a little while in fourth or fifth year .. it will eventually cut out. It will then start again when i stop and start in first gear. I am wodnering if it is maybe a fan belt problem?? I few people have suggested that.
