This car was givenb to me about 3 months ago, i have never reeally drove it because it was no tto dependabloe. So today i deceide to figure it out. Previous info car has new battery new alternator new plugs and all that good stuff. Prob. Car would start up with a full battery, run fine for a few hours or so. Soon after the radio will cut off, lights start to dim... Battery is dying. But i have new al;ternator, NEw not rebuilt. I went and bought a multimeter to try and help me figure out where my power draw was coming from. I had car in off position made series with positive cable and test light to battery, no circuts still on sittin in driveway. I then jump the car get it started, test the battery, it is at 13.6 right where it should. But it did take a moment for it to reach that point but it did get there as soon as caar ideled down. I turned on the headlights to see if it could compensaited for the draw, It couldnt. Slowly went down. But now my problem is trying to test the alternator because the terminals are very hard to get to and test. Is there any other test that i can do to pin point that it is the alternator that is doing this?

if you are getting 13.6 volta @ idle the alternatoe is working good .. I would be checking for loose wiring connections from alternator
