Hi there ! I'm a refrigerant licence (but NOT car air cond ) .I bought 1 R134a bottle 12 kg and I service my car air cond today .I check LOW side pressure : still got Refrigerant in system and about 40PSI when air cond is ON (like normal ) ,but the air blow out temperature is 14 degree celsius(not cold down anymore ) , I took al old gas out to a reclaim cylinder with my recovery machine ,then changed another compressor (but not change a dryer ) ,vacuum pump it , and regas with a new R134A to 40 PSI again ,check system and the air blow out temperature is 14 degree celsius(not cold down anymore ) ,just like before . The compressor is on continually (not ON-OFF ), 2 hoses is cold ,wet and drain water drip out to the concrete floor from inside ;everything look normal ,but the temperature is 14 degree celsius only ,NOT strong cold . I regas another Ford ( same model-it's my Dad's car ) and air blow out can come to 6 degree celsius ... Please help me some thingon my car... Thanks a lot .Regards !

with it not getting cold and the hoses feeling cold I would check the temp conteol switch. Nove it up and down a coupleof times and see if there is any diference in how cold it is.

thanks for your reply ! but my falcon don't have a climax control on dash ,it has 4 speeds fan and a a/c ON/OFF button , sorry I'm silly don't know where or which is the temp control switch you mentioned above ,could you pls show me some more ?? Thanks !

What I am talking about is the lever you move to change the tempeture in the car. it slides and looks like a blue arrow narrowing down to a red one. It is what you use to change the heater temperature on newer cars there will be a dial that you turn clockwise to increase the temp and counter clockwise to turn it down.

Thanks a lot M_J_RITZEL.I'm appreciate your help .I understand it now . I turn a/c OFF ,use fan only ,then try : When I turn to heater ,it become hotter ,and when I turn counter clockwise to turn it down ( for max cold ) ,it seem stop hot from the heater and the air outlet back to normal fan .Then with A/c on , it cold down , but not much ,not really cold :about 14oC in normal temp .
I tried to charge Ref up to 45 PSI low side ,but not help at all .
Please help me ...!!! help me...!!!

Now that we know your controls work. On our web site under popular sites there is a column how does it work? click on that, then go to air conditioning, then onto air conditioning problems. there you can read that the average pressure is from 50 to 80 psi.
