while driving seems to go into neutral but still in gear

i have a 2004 ford focus manual trans the problem is that while driving the car when it reaches 3500 rpm it seems to go into neutral you hear it wind up but than it stops. it only does it in like 3rd through 5th gear. we just to it to the dealership to replace the clutch that was a month ago so i have no idea what it is please help
