Stereo wiring

Hi atcontrolr, Thank you for the donation. The speed signal is to be attache to the Speed Sensor Assy wiring whereas the back-up can be spliced at the reverse switch or its wiring.

What is your engine capacity?

I have a 2005 Ford F-350, crew cab, long bed, 6.0L diesel. Where can I conveniently tap into the speed signal, reverse gear signal, and parking brake power supply side

For diesel the system is different. The VSS is supplied by the ABS module. You either tap it from PCM Pin # 35 or ABS module Pin # 21 (Gray/Black wire).

. For reverse signal, you can tap it from terminal # 2 of the reverse lamp relay, in central junction box, behind left side of dash. There are 2 wires going into the parking brake sensor. The wire you need to tap in to should be green with a red stripe

I have been having a problem with dead batteries. I narrowed it down to fuse 11 which is the radio. Whit the fuse out there is no draw, if i unplug the radio and leave the fuse in there is no draw. What could be causing my radio to draw power when off. It is the factory unit.

The radio memory and clock, where applicable, need some voltage even with everything turned off. Can you check the actual amp draw?

With the test light hooked up the light was kinda pulsating. How do i test the amp draw. I have a multimeter.

If the meter has an amp setting, your in business. use the amp setting, place the meter in series with one of the battery cables.

I removed my radio from my Ford F350 and when I put it back in nothing works on it I have changed the fuse and checked the wires and cannot figure out what it could be.

Is it a security system radio? you may need to re code this with the correct security PIN.

Do you have any clue what the security PIN might be? or how I would go upon finding it?

if it is not in your owners manual or radio hand book, you will have to contact your dealer with the VIN they should be able to get it off the master data base for you.
