2000 Ford F-350 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Could use some help folks. Have a 2000 F350 with 7.3 liter engine. My high beams are not working. My momentary high beams are working, so I know I have voltage going to the high beams and the headlights are ok. My high beam indicator light is also only working when I use the momentary high beams. When I go to put on high beams the low beams stay on. Does this sound like it would be the Hi-Lo beam switch on the column and if it does is this an easy fix? I had removed dash to replace high beam indicator bulb as it was not working. Haven't driven the truck lately but wife has been and said high beams had been working, but she hasn't driven at night in quite some time. Am out of state and just found out my house has been vandalized and heading back to Texas and my inspection sticker is out of date. So I've got to get this fixed and back home.

I would be replacing the multifuction switch on the colum they if the high beam indicator on the dash is working and you have checked all fuses. remove the 3 phillips screws under the plastic shroud pull the bottom away then turn the key into the run position and you will see a hole at the bottom where the key goes in push it up and pull out the key the dash lights will stay on, then undo the 2 torx screws that hold the switch in place and test. easy to do takes a few minutes.
