use a voltmeter at the wiring plug for motor ..if your getting power then the motor is bad .. if your not getting power to motor then check wiring and switch etc ..

Description and operation
NOTE:This article includes Cab and Chassis.

Windshield wipers are operated by a permanent magnet motor. Wiper functions are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). When wiper control switch is in interval (INT) position, wipers make single sweeps, separated by adjustable-length pauses. For all interval settings except INT 1, speed dependent interval feature will automatically shorten pauses as vehicle speed increases. GEM is located on the backside of the fuse junction panel located to the lower left of the steering wheel. Fuse junction panel is accessed by removing instrument panel steering column cover.
ADJUSTMENTS
WIPER ARM & BLADE ASSEMBLY
Remove wiper arms from pivot shafts. Turn on wipers to allow motor to operate 3 or 4 cycles, then turn wipers off. Wiper pivot shafts will be in park position.
Install arm and blade assemblies onto pivot shafts. Adjust clearance between center of wiper blade and windshield molding/cowl junction. Clearance should be 2.20" (56 mm) for driver's side, and 2.91" (74 mm) for passenger's side.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Verify customer complaint by operating system. Visually inspect for obvious signs of damage:
Power distribution box maxi-fuses:
No. 15 (30-amp)
No. 22 (50-amp)
Fuse junction panel fuses:
No. 11 (10-amp)
No. 15 (5-amp
Damaged wiring harness.
Loose or corroded connections.
Open or shorted wiring.
Washer pump hoses.
Wiper/washer switch.
Wiper linkage.
Wiper motor.
If all components are okay, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTICS .

the wipers would come on there own. It was intermittent and then they would not stop, we poled the fuse to stop them. This worked for a while and then the wipers stopped working all together. I changed the switch no work. I put power to the motor and it works. Could you advise me where to look next?
This is my work truck and we are entering the rain season, I have been trying to fix it for the last two months.

check grounds at left hand rear of engine and left hand side of dash below a pillar. then have it scanned for codes may be the electronics in motor or relays.

V8 four wheel drive manual

Parked vehicle with wipers turned on, and turned off vehicle. When vehicle restarted, no power to wiper motor, interior dome light, underhood light, and key reminder chime. Check of fuses all show continuity, including fuse number eleven in driver's compartment. Should I suspect a bad relay, and if so which one?

There is no relay to check, just power to the wiper motor.

do not even know what is wrong.

i would start with checking all fuses. use a test light and check for power on both sides with key on.

start there.

I agree with Roy. Just take one system at a time and check voltage and ground.
The diagram is for power windows without crew-cab. Do not mean to butt in, I had already copied the diagram, might as well post it.

the solenoid that keeps you from putting the truck in gear until you push on the brake has been replace, but it still will not let you put it into gear once you put the key into the accessories position. but you can put it into gear while it is just turned one position. about this time the wipers and windows stopped working.
