1975 Ford F350 Intermittent engine stop

I suspect the ignition section and need a schematic of the associated system.
I've cleaned all the connectors and occasionally can tap the connector area and the engine stops but it is intermittent.
Today I can not get the engine to start using all the normal tricks after changing the oil and filter.
If you know of a source of a detailed wiring schematic, I would appreciate it.

Check your email, but this normally turns out to be either the ignition module, or distributor.

The F350 Ford truck passed a driving test today with the new ignition module. ~$22

One 'problem' remains: the temperature display has quit during this ignition repair. I've reinstalled a section of suspicious wire near the sender. The sensor resistance varies directly with increasing temperature (~300 - 600 ohms). The voltage to ground of the sensor wire removed from sensor fluctuates from ~1 to 8 VDC. Next step is to trace the wiring and clean the connector at the engine side of the firewall.

If anyone knows the normal voltage at this wire, I'd enjoy hearing it.

I ran out of time today.

Engine size? 460? I would do a continuity check of the wire, if good either the gauge is NG or the sender, and it's going to be easier to find a new sender. I did try to get the info, but it's too old for my books! F series cluster has a IVR, or voltage regulator for the cluster, I dont know how any of these could have been damaged by replacing the module...I will email the cluster info...

Engine is a 360 I was told and that number has been penciled in the glove box manual.

I do suspect the wiring since the temperature indication worked OK prior to my ignition troubleshooting.

It will take a few days to get back to the project. PP
