1999 Ford F-250 sterring wheel loose

Hello Guys, I'm about half way down the Baja Penisula and my steering wheel has become extremely loose. My question is how do I go about removing the airbag cover and tightening it up?

the wheel is loose due to the bearings are shot in the steering coloum. You can't just tighten down the wheel, but theair bag just removes with 2 8mm bolts in the back of the wheel, and then the nut is on the top.

I hope your aware that the air bag is a very dangerous component to mess with. It uses explosives and can inflict very serious injury or death.
The system needs to be completely disabled before attempting to remove the bag or even work in the area. If your not familiar with procedures to disconnect that bag itself, then disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes before working on the bag.
