1997 Ford F250 bad fuel regulator ?

that is a good possibility, but we need to check it in order to confirm ,being that there are other possibilities, like the filter/s, or the engine coolant temp sensor, evern the an injector or two. of course we want to check the minor stuff first.

New gas filter, air filter, oil filter & oil,spark plugs, cap & roter,negative battery connector, let engine air out for 24 hours, and replaced the fuel regulator - no fuel in the vacuum hose- thus no broken diafram to let gas into the vacuum system. I started it up and was still running ruff tonight. What would let large amount of gas through the injectors? PCM? I will check to see if the injectors are clicking, if not clicking -bad injector?- then check the injector connector with a "noid" light to see if it flashes- if not flashing then bad PMC-? or?? Measure the resistance of each injector. I also will check the vacuum. I'm just amazed on how much gas got into my oil, exhaust, cylinders. How can injectors inject that much gas.. stuck open. I did have a lose battery ground that made it hard to start + the battery might have been under charged from sitting for a while, but it started- then some monkey under the hood started dumping gas into my engine. I got a monkey on my @*#$>: back- and i can't shake it..................... Dave ps how much is a fair donation?

lol, that was funny, a good donation is what ever you feel is a good donation, regaurdless we are gonna get to the bottom of this, Like I said check those injectors couple of them could be leaking, also the engine coolant temp sensor, will make them dump fuel if the sensor is faulty. keep me posted, let me know if you wanna donate so I can tell my boss.

I will replace the temp sending unit. Not sure how that is related.. telling the pcm to dump gas into the engine through the injectors.That how it usually works, dump lots of $ into it, then change out the $2.59 part. How do i check to see if the injectors are leaking gas- if they are clicking then that means something mechanical is wrong with the injectors- bad seal, or a monkey suck in the injector not letting it close, ect. I'm thinking low on gas- sucked monkey out of tank- into fuel rail- into ejector- monkey stuck in 1 injector- then sucked all the rest of the dirty monkey friends out of the tank when it started to dump gas into the engine- draining the tank- air in the fuel rail- now more injectors with monkey aassss. How can i tell which one is good or bad ? Will be taking it to my mechanic on friday, he probably has some sort of computer thing to hook up so see what injector is bad. Is that my best option?

yes, the noid light is only gonna tell the pulse of the injector, (how it should be spraying) but if a seal or screen is messed up, we wont know by doing that.let them take each injector out you can then tell if its dripping. or the screen is out of place through a visual inspection..
