On the front tank I'm trying to remove the large4r of the two fuel lines,,,I've releaced the smaller with my pvc Lisle relese set, however the larger line I've even bought the scissor style metal tool but it still refuses to release. I've pushed the line into the the stainless tube while attemping to insert the release tool. The metal tool seems to be "bottoming out" against the walls of the fitting while the pvc tool seems like it is to small in diameter while the next size smaller is very small and the next up is 1/2 that will not enter the barrel of the fiting. Is there a metric set in these,,are some longer than others,,or do I just not got the right beer?

Ok there are many versions of this tool some are deeper then other and there is a 5/16 and 3/8 size so it must fit the fuel line tight too. I have included a few pics the first of the tool that has a longer reach the second of the one with a shorter reach and the third shows how they should fit ont he line. Hope this helps.

ok,,let me ask you this ,,the scissor style tool seems that the OD of the tool is stopping the complete insertion into the fitting. do you feel the anodized aluminum sets are of better quality and trurer to diameter sizes,,or should I try to midify the scissor unit to allow proper fit?

I like the anodized ones better my self. It is what I use on me 95 F-150 and my 98 Mustang. I have no problems with them. I have also found the cheaper you go on these like the made in china ones versus USA made can sometimes make a difference as to weather or not the OD is correct too.
