1990 Ford F250 water pump

You answered my question about the thermostat, but it turns out, it is the waterpump or seals. I replaced the thermostat and was filling the radiator when I noticed the coolant leaking out of the lowest fanbelt pully mounting? I'm not sure if I'm saying it right, but the front bottom part of the engine and along the seam. So, my question is: is this a waterpump replacement issue?, and if so, how do I remove and install the water pump and seals etc....????

It may be water pump, but from what you describe it could also be the timing cover behind the pump.They had a tendency to rot out and leak externally. Use a bright flashlight to verify the source of the leak first so as not to do any work you dont have to.If it is the water pump you will need to remove the fan and all accessory brackets that attach to the pump to be able to replace it.If it is the cover, the entire front of the engine will have to come off, this requires a puller for the harmonic balancer. This is what the front cover looks like behind thewater pump (7.5 but other V-8s are very similar)

I looked and it is coming from the fist seam behind the lower pully housing below the fan. It appears the fan and this pully are mounted as a single unit. The leak is coming from the gasket of this unit mount at the very bottom of the lower pully area where it connects to the block. Does this help identifying it?

The fan bolts to the front of the water pump, if it is coming out from the bottom of that, it may just be the water pump or plate directly behind it. The timing cover usually leaks on the sides
