I recently installed a fuel guage sending unit and at the same time a new rubber filler hose on the rear tank. Now I cannot easily put fuel into that tank. Even at a slow stream I can hear what sounds like the hose filler tube filling up and the fuel comes back out the filler pipe. It seems to me that it is not venting properly. The rubber hose is not kinked or smashed in any way.

How does that tank vent and what do I need to do to fix it?

Could it be something else that I am not concidering?

should be a vaccum hose on top of the engine, make sure it is hooked up, may be a bad charcoal/carbon canister.
