Electrical problem
1977 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic N/A miles
I hope some one can answer this ?, i need to know what the stator wire connects to after it goes to the fire wall from the alt. To this point the voltage -key on, engine off-is right, just below 8 volts, behind the firewall, or on its way around to the ignition coil-at least i am assuming this wire goes to the coil,-some where in this line im grounding to power and overcharging 16-17V. My main question is what does the stator wire connect to bfore it make its way back around to the voltage regulator? Leaving the alt its a white wire with a black stripe- going back to the Volt. regulator its a green with red/orange as it plugs into the S.
