Power steering pump

96 f-150 300 6 cyl. Power steering fluid leaked out from the bottom near steering box. I can drive and steer stiff but ok. I want to limp it home 200mi to tear down. can I make it with a dry pump or will it seize up and eat my serpentine belt?
