I have a 2001 F150 SVT Lightning has 63,000 miles. The car has been very well taken care of. I had the misfortune of taking a hard left into a cement divider wall. Long story short it has taken me almost 1 1/2 years to repair. I just replaced the clockspring, air bag control module this week, but it still will not start.
The security light in the dash "Theft" is flashing rapidly when the key is on. The truck will not start. I am told I have to reprogram the key system. I was asked if I replaced the ECM. Where is the ECM? Is there a way to test it before replacing? Can you walk me through the procedure to reprogram the key? How do I tell what PAT's system my truck has?
