The drive belt came off of my 89' Ford F150 v8 5.0 this morning and i have been trying to get it back on. I am only able to slide my alternator about a quarter of an inch downwards to try to get the belt back on but the belt seems to be WAY to tight!! My friend who knows trucks a bit said it is way to tight. I need help please. The drive belt is in very good shape, just need to get it back on its guides. i very much appreciate any information i can get. Thanks!!!
