Can I take mirrors off and replace them ?

The chrome mirrors on my 2006 f150 are peeling. They look like covers. Can I take them off and replace them or maybe leave them black? If I can take them off, how do I get them off?

Hello,

The mirror caps are mounted using few tabs. To remove you will have to simply pry the cap gently up and outward. It will come out with some pressure.
You should use a plastic pry tool for this.
Which will reduce the risk of damaging any surrounding area.
