2005 Ford F150 4 wheel drive engage

i read a message posted on 12-3-07 to "check the knuckle in front" for vacum hose break. when i turn my selector to 4 high or low the light does not come on or engage. I want to know where this knuckle is located or other things i can look for.

The knuckle is located directly behind the front brake rotors. If you look on top of the knuckle, you should see the vaccum hose sticking up.

If the light does not come on check fuses and underhood fuses, switch...Seems electrical.
