Hello. My truck is a 2004 Heritage edition (old body style) F150. It has the 4.2L V6. The clutch does not slip, occasionally it will grind and is always hard to shift into first gear. I suspect that it is the master cylinder. What do you think?
If it is the CMC, could a motivated guy replace it himself, or is it internally mounted in the Trans?
thanks much,
Rob

Does the trans shift smoothly when the engine is off?
