I have noticed a chirping noise coming from my truck. This noise has been present for about 3 months, and it sounds as though it's coming from the floor board where the four wheel drive shift is located, or in that general area. It's very annoying. This noise seems to speed up as I accelerate, and slow down as i do. It accelerates well, and has no transmission slip. The u-joints are tight. Any info helpful!!!!!

Hi:
I would start with the u joints, even though they are tight. Are they greaseable? They could be dry. You're sure the noise is not from the engine?
