2003 Ford F150 noises in 4 wheels drive

my truck only makes noises when it is in 4 wheel drive. While driving it makes a loud almost low wining noise in the front, I take it out of 4 wheel drive it is fine.

this sounds like a pinion bearing going bad.or possibly side bearings.
but most likely a pinion bearing. because when you engage the 4x4 you actually load the pinion bearing.and when y6ou disengage 4x4 you unload bearing ,and it freewheels.

i would check the pinion shaft for looseness
