2003 Ford F150 4-Wheel drive

Last week I tried to engage the 4-wheel drive and nothing happened.

No lights on the dash, nothing. Up until that time my 4-wheel drive worked perfect. I think that possibly A fuse has burned out that engages the transfer case. Could this be correct and if so is this fuse in the fuse box under the dash or the high-voltage fuse box under the hood?

The reason I suspect a fuse is twofold. no previous indication of a problem and absolutly nothing litr up on my dash (no 2-wheel, 4 wheel-Hi or 4-wheel-Lo) lights at all.

There is a 4x4 relay in the relay box under the hood. There is also a transfer case relay module that is in the center of the dash behind the dash board. If you have a digital multi meter and have some time we can do some tests and see what is going on. Let me know and we will go from there.

Ok do you know where the GEM Module is? I need you to unplug it. Now make a fused jumper wire. Now with the lock side of the connector up count from left to right to pin 9 connect from pin 9 to a good ground does the 4x4 light come on? If yes then check all the connection and wires for any problems and plug it back in if the 4x4 still dont work then the GEM is the problem.
The gem is on the left side of the column behind the dash. If you need more on location just ask.
