I have a 2002 Ford F150 that has 78000 miles on it. When I accelerate to 50 mph or greater, the truck hesitates. Does this mean the fuel filter is plugging up? If so, how do I replace it?

Okay, the cheapest and best beginning point to this symptom is indeed to replace the fuel filter and use some fuel injection cleaner along with some fuel treatment with your next fill up. To remove the filter, perform the following steps.

REMOVAL:
Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter.
Remove the fuel filter.
Loosen the fuel filter clamp screw.

NOTE
Make sure that an audible click is heard when installing the fuel lines. Pull back on the fuel lines to confirm engagement.

INSTALLATION:
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
