I have a 2001 F150 4-wheel drive Lariat. I am expriencing a starting issue. I have replaced the battery with one that is one step up from the standard one it calls for, replaced the generator about 2 yrs. ago and also the serpentine belt just recently. My voltage gauge reads okay. But today, it wouldn't start. My battery is at 8.7 volts and only is at 7% charged. I am not sure what to do next. Is there a voltage regular that has gone bad or is it some thing else? Also when I stop at night my head lights get a little brighter when I take off, and my odometer sometimes blinks and my wipers don't seem to come on or shut off as quickly as they used to when I turn the switch.
