I'm replacing my wheel studs on the right rear. I have taken off the brake components and the old broken bolts are punched out. I don't have enough clearance to insert the new studs. Tried removing the rear shield, still don't have enough room. Any suggestions? Do I need to remove the hub flange? If so with what/how?

You need to drain the rear axle and remove the axle shaft.
