ABS light is on and there is no reason why?

The light is on and there is no reason why. Also the cruise dosn't work. Checked all fuses, and they're all good. Before I go spend thirty bucks I thought I would see what you all had to say.

Try unplugging the deactivation switch for the cruise, it's The brake pressure switch, on or just under the master cylinder, I don't know if yours was recalled but a lot of them were, possible fire hazard...Not too expensive, if you replace it pour some brake fluid into the new one before you mount it.

If the ABS light is on we need to know the codes which could have something to do with the brake lights like the switch that MERLIN2021 said. Here is a guide to help get the codes so we can see what's going on.
