For the last couple weeks I have been having increasing troubles with my engine dying at an idle. The engine will die once it reaches an idle if no throttle is applied. I have replaced the fuel filter, used two bottles of fuel system cleaner, cleaned the butterfly intake valve, and cleaned the mass airflow sensor. I have also noticed that there is a small ticking noise on the passenger side of my engine, that increases in speed and volume once the engine is revved up. Please help

Clean and test the idle air control valve and EGR and PCV valves and test the throttle position sensor.
