1999 Ford F150 abs light on

The ABS light on my pickup is on all the time. the other day I started my truck and it was off.I thought great problem fixed! As I rolled down the road to the first stop sign,the brakes didnt work ,or at least the power assist didn't.It was hard to tell which .(what with me freakin out and all,) I pumped the brakes hard then the ABS light came on and everything worked again. This has happend Twice in the last month,I guess as long as the ABS light stays on everythings OK lol. Any Ideas would be greatly appriciated thanks in advance Dabo[/quote:d17261ee95] Your question will be hard to answer without a little more info. Does it have 4 wheel abs or just rear wheel abs. Easy to tell just look at the inside of the front wheels and see if you se any wiring harness comming out of the back of the wheel,if wires are there it is 4 whell abs. If so it sounds like the abs motor or module is failing. To be sure take it to a good autotech.
