1998 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

no my truck is not overheating yes i can smell antifrezze really bad when im driving i cant tell if theres any spots on the ground at this time cause its been snowing really bad i would look and see if the weep hole on the water pump is leaking but i dont know its located yet well a couple of months ago the heater was working just fine then me moved here from arizona and on our way from arizona to idaho our truck kept overheating we had to keep pulling over and putting water in it untill we go to a town then right before we go to a gas station it overheated and was spraying out antifrezze underneath by the driver side wheel so we got to this town and my dad put a tomostate in it and the heater still dont work

First, make sure that the water pump is not leaking. You should notice if it is, and it might be making some noise. If it seems fine, get a pressure test done on the cooling system to ensure it's not leaking. Change the thermostat with a ford replacement (i've seen lots of aftermarket one's fail). Ensure all air is removed from the cooling system, and you should be fine. The only other thing would be a restriction somewhere.
