under normal braking everything is great. I replaced pads and rotors about 1000 miles ago. When under hard braking it seems like the trans will downshift, with an abnormal thud and the brakes will start clicking. They will continue clicking until I come to a stop or let up just a little on peddle pressure. If I let up on peddle pressure the clicking stops and I can again apply hard peddle pressure with no clicking.
Good luck. trans is aode, new cv joints, ball joints(lower), hubs and bearings.

it could be that the brake mounting hardware is loose and when your stop hard it grabs faster and hits causing the thudding then the clicking.

check the brakes first.
