1997 Ford F150 4 wheel drive

I have a 1997 Ford F150 that wont shift out of 4 High.I have disengauged the frount drive manually. Could the switch on the dash be bad, or is there something more?

Has to be more im having the same problem with my 95 bronco if u find out could u keep me posted thnx
