Engine Cooling problem
1996 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles

Vehicle looses coolant at the rate of about 3 cups per 100 miles. Have replaced water pump, cracked radiator and hoses. No visible drips, runs or pooling of water under vehicle. No water in oil pan. No water anywhere. I noticed that there are water lines running to the throttle body. What is the purpose? Is there possibly a freeze plug somewhere on the intake that could be leaking?
