Engine Cooling problem
1996 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Vehicle looses coolant at the rate of about 3 cups per 100 miles. Have replaced water pump, cracked radiator and hoses. No visible drips, runs or pooling of water under vehicle. No water in oil pan. No water anywhere. I noticed that there are water lines running to the throttle body. What is the purpose? Is there possibly a freeze plug somewhere on the intake that could be leaking? Thank you for your response.

Hi there,

I would have the cooling system pressure tested first, this may show op a small leak that may otherwise go unnoticed.

The dealer pressure tested the system before replacing the water pump, hoses, etc. They evidently did not find the leak. Thanks for your reply.
