What is the recommended type of towing vehicle to tow a F-150? My truck was was towed for being parked on private property. The next day when I was able to get my truck from the towing company the truck would not go into gear and actually when the I started the truck it started rolling backwards and then I was unable to move the gear shift. The tow person got under the truck and did something, which I don't know what he did. I ended up taking the truck to a regular repair shop and was informed that I needed to take it to a Ford dealer because something in the gear shift was damaged. I have an appointment with a local Ford dealer next week. In the meantime I've contacted the towing company and advised them that they damaged my vehilce, which they are denying. In order to prove this in court I need to know what is the manufactures recommended way of towing this vehicle?
