Recently purchased a 1990 f 150 custom, dual tank, 2wd, with a 5.8 lt engine. Ran good for older used truck intil 3 days ago, motor is "shaking". Company mechanic looked at it and told me to do a tune up on it Replaced plugs, wires, rotor cap and button. Still is running extremely rough,w/ poor gas mileage. No lights are coming on, and all gauges are reading in normal range. Again company mechanic looked at it, replaced PCV valve in it and looked for vacuum leaks, but we are at a loss as to what is causing the problem. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Check the O2 sensors, and the catylatic converter. Also, make sure the EGR is working properly and check fuel pump pressure.

Let me know what you find.
