How can I know if I have a bad battery, or if I need to change out the new one wire altenator I just put in my truck? It checks out with a ohms meter as shown in the diagrams I saw prior to registering. The battery is approximately 2 years old.

What you need is a volt meter to
test volts when truck running.
if about 14.5 alternator is OK and its the battery
if you need a jump to start and run fine and OK after that
battery no good
also you have a voltage regulator in this truck its wise to replace it first if battery OK
