I have a 2003 Ford Explorer V8 Eddie Bauer, automatic transmission with 70,000 miles. I have recently had the compressor on the A/C replaced(about a month ago) and a week ago had the tires rotated and balanced. A few days ago I started hearing a thumping noise in the rear panel next to the third row seat on the driver side. I only hear it when the car is running. It was first started when I crank it in the morning and use to last only a few minutes and now 2 days later it is continuous. What is the problem? Also I am having a lot more road noise from my tires since they have been rotated, any reason? Thanks.

My 2002 did that twice 1st time it had to do with the parking brakes(they were shot) 2nd time it was the rear fan motor turn your rear air off and see if it does it.
