My 2004 Explorer Limited (78,000 miles) is making this constant rubbing noise, when in motion. It is perfectly quiet when still... I think this may have something to do with the rear differential? Am I correct, and does it hurt the vehicle to drive while this noise is going? The noise kind of sounds like when the brakes are going bad... Help!!

differential could be right or you could have one or more hub bearings going bad ,or just worn brake pads either way driving it will cause more damage which will cost more to repair and not to mention its unsafe , in my opinion i would have it looked at asap
