2001 ford explorer awd 6 cyld 147,000 km. My question is. I have had a noise from the front left, and I figured drive shaft because I just replaced the right one about a month ago. I needed breaks so I did that now the noise in the front is real loud, If I back up then put it into drive it is fine until I press the breaks. This clunk only happens if I back up first then use the breaks in a forward motion. I did remove the wheel again to inspect my work and all is fine, however there does seem to be alot of play between the teeth on the spline when I hand turn the drive shaft back and forth. What do you think. Thanks for your help.
