cruise control switch install

I need to replace the cruise resume-accel-coast switch on my 97 Explorer. How can I remove the horn/air bag covering to get at it without setting off the air bag?

best thing to do is to pull the air bag fuse and pull the neg battery cable off , thats the fullproof way
