brake caliper piston broke

We have a 99 exloper V8 limited (all wheel drive). When inspecting the passanger side brake caliber, one of the pistons came out. Should the whole caliber be replaced or can it be fixed? If the caliber needs to be replaced, do i have to replace the driver side caliber as well?

Hi there,

This is quite repairable, but it should be done by a qualified technician, You will have to purchase a caliper O/haul kit. this will have all the seals and dust boots required to service one caliper. But i highly recommend that a qualified mechanic do this repair for you. If the other side has not "popped" leave it alone it will be fine.
