1994 ford explorer 134,000 4cyl...The suv was purchased aug 2006, so far I 'v replaced the servitude belt, a new battery and cables, new brakes and caliburs. It had been in a collision so the front end looks (pigeon toed) as if the wheels are indented--not sure if that is as to why my tires seem to go pretty fast. Tonight while driving after getting gas the temp. gauge was almost at normal, however the battery gauge was not. Is there a way to check the battery gauge to see if it's accurate?

You need to have the charging system check to see whether the alternator is charging the battery or the battery is taking the charge.
