Hello,

We had a 6" snowstorm here in the Northeast yesterday. I was attempting to back out of my driveway, had it in reverse, and put it into 4WD. Then I tried to proceed down my street and it won't go back into 2WD. The vehicle is tugging and pulling and won't accelerate over 30 MPH. Did I screw up the drivetrain? Anyway to fix it? Thanks for your help!!

sounds like the 4wd is stuck in low. It could be the switch try engaging/disengaging the 4wd switch rangers/explorers are tempermental with temperature escpecially when they get older.
if you don't use it often problems like this occur.
try going slowly in reverse giving the gas pedal mild pressure on and off to release the transfer case and hubs then try running forward again.
Let the vehicle idle for 5-10 minutes prior to trying.
