I don't believe you have one. If you do it will be under the hood near the cowl on the passanger side, or behind the glove box. I don't believe you have one.

You can try changing the cabin air filter, an old trick that I have done in the past is put cups of white vinegar in the floorboards and close the car up. The white vinegar smell kills the smell of the smoke while the smoke smell kills the vinegar smell. I friend showed me this trick in his house where the smoked 5 packs a day and you couldn't smell smoke at all. Good luck and hope it help, Merry Christmas

Sometimes these filters are listed, but not always used on all models. It drives me crazy to spend 15 minutes geeting to them to find out there isn't one there.

Generally they are behind the glove compartment or accessible through the wiper cowl area. I would call the dealer and ask them.

Hello,

I am not positive but I don't think the Explorer has a cabin air filter. If it does you may need to call you local Ford Dealer. I cannot find any info on it..............................

your vehicle didn't come with a factory-installed cabin air filter.. if there is a cabin air filter on yours then it was added on as a dealer installed option... Should be behind the glove box

See the guide below on cabin filter replacement

Does my 2002 Explorer XLT have a cabin air filter? The air pressure form the vents, when on highest fan speed, does not blow as hard as it used to.

Hello,

Your car does not have a cabin air filter. Is the blower motor turning slow?

Here are a couple guides that will help you

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/blower-motor-testing

It could be an actuator problem as well

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-blend-door-motor

Please let us know how ti goes

I had the same problem so I looked up a lot of different things in a lot of different ways and watched several different videos of how people problem solve this issue the most common issue would be the fresh air vent door breaking from the actuator switch and the door falling over top of the vent as well as a lot of debris getting sucked in and settling on top of the screen that covers the blower so between the two of those it completely breaks down all of the suction capability of intake are the which then restricts the airflow to any of your vents the problem is it's an accessible so you have to make it accessible and this link that I'm going to post is how you do that.
