2004 Ford Explorer Interior lights go out when head lamps c

I cranked my truck to take my son to school. I noticed that I could not see the radio station L.E.D. or any other L.E.D.s temperature mileage etceteras. However, when I tun the head lamp/lights off they brighten up. Can you help.

Check to make sure you didn't accidentally turn your dimmer all the way down - I hit mine with my purse once and thought I had blown the fuse for my dash lights. :)
